My Makeup Collection // Storage and Products

Storing my makeup has been a long process, like most makeup addicts, I've thoroughly increased my makeup collection over the years. I, like most people, started off with a mere floral Primark makeup bag to store my slightly orange dream matte mousse, and I say mine but really mean it used to be my sisters and I stole it, Rimmel eyeliner and shadow quad of four glitter eye shadows that essentially all look the same on the eye. As the years went by my collection increased into a bigger makeup bag until I eventually came to the realization that I might need something a bit bigger and better. Being the stingy person I am, I decided to diy a little bit, I bought 2 wicker drawer units at a discount shop, having already had one at home from an aunt. I bought some copper spray paint and went to town. I am now the owner of three rather patchy drawer units, and these store all my makeup. My collection is no where near big enough for me to justify buying the pretty, yet expensive, acrylic storage or Alex drawers, and I'm very happy with my small yet cheap storage for right now.

Currently I am at home for the summer, during the rest of the year I am at uni, where I simply have the three drawer unit in a row by my bed because uni life means not much room storage. For these four months I've decided to store my makeup on a free bookcase which is devoted to my entire makeup collection (and some scrapbooking supplies which is my secret hobby but keep that on the hush hush) allowing me to keep my room organised. Well at least it should, but being honest my desk is always a mess of makeup from experimenting and creating weird things for Instagram and I always have clothes on my floor. I currently have the drawers from one unit spread over one shelf containing base products, cheek and brows, lip products and finally eye products. The following shelf stores all of my makeup palettes, which I now realise I have an excessive amount of and will never work through in my life time. Followed by my sculpting stuff which I use for sfx makeup and art purposes. On top of the book shelves I have my mirrors, one has lights and is slightly bigger, the other is a smaller one but is also magnifying, my brush pot, makeup removers and pads, and also a small pusheen mug from my friend which stores things like sharpeners, tweezers, and my makeup sponge.

I'm going to give you a list of what's in each category and each product will be listed like this:

Product Name // Shade // Link to Review

I will also be adding an * for any products that were sent to me in PR (more on this and affiliate links in my disclaimer if you want to know my policy on them). I will add links to the corresponding review when it is published, for example Zoeva Coco Blend Eyeshadow Palette // Read the Review Here. So if there is something you desperately want a review of you can contact me, on twitter or email (links are in the sidebar) and I'll try and do that first. So keep on checking this post if there's something you are curious about and hopefully it'll have a link!

//Some of the following links are affiliated, not all of them, I've tried to find the best price for each item. Feel free to not click on or use them, part of the reason I use them is also for your convenience//

I was hoping to review a lot of my makeup products for you guys, because I have a lot of products that I love but have never mentioned on my blog or instagram. A lot of these products I've repurchased and used for years and I have a pretty solid opinion on them and know if and why they work for me so I feel my review's can be thorough. I've also realised that sometimes I'm looking at a product online having never heard of it and I'll search for a review and there won't be one, and I know that I have a few products that could possibly fill a little review slot.

I should also let you know that I haven't included my face painting/sfx makeup as I wanted this post to be focused on the beauty/everyday makeup I wear.

So to finish off this post, I'll be constantly editing this post to provide links to a review of the products so think of this as a mega post. Hopefully this has been helpful to someone and I hope you enjoyed a little nosy look into my makeup collection.
